Advanced Degree Students
Putting your experience to work
Our ongoing success is dependent on building the brightest teams. Many of today’s senior leaders started at American Express as summer interns. We know graduate students are experienced, and we’re ready to take advantage of your background and skills—through internship opportunities and full-time positions.
A distinguished Leadership Express program
Our Leadership Express program is exclusively for those who recently earned an advanced degree. It helps you gain deeper insight into not only what drives American Express, but also into the customer experience, the power of our brand, and the competitive and financial strategies we deal with every day.
You will gain business expertise and organizational knowledge from some of our most senior leaders and external leadership experts. Our customized training includes modules focused on building your personal brand, leadership communications and strategic relationship development—all to help set you up for success early in your career. Most of all, you will build a global network of your peers across all our businesses and regions.
Carving your path
We pride ourselves on our ability to allow our employees to shape their own futures within the company. There is no one-size-fits-all career path at American Express. It is very common for employees to change roles, business units and functional areas as they customize their own career path. This mobility is what makes American Express unique. You will have these conversations with your leaders in an open, supportive way that will encourage you to think beyond your own boundaries.
Strengthening our services and delivering excellence
American Express delivers extraordinary service to its customers every day. Our dedication to service is the root of our pride and the pride of our employees. As a member of our team, you directly affect our decisions, leaving your mark on our brand. At American Express, you’re given the opportunity to manage projects with strategic importance and real bottom-line impact.
